Kuroda Nagasama (黒田 長政) was a prominent Japanese samurai and the son of Kuroda Kanbei, a trusted strategist and retainer to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. After Hideyoshi's death, Kuroda Nagasama served the Tokugawa shogunate and played a key role in the early Edo period. He was the first daimyo of the Fukuoka Domain and was known for his military leadership during the Siege of Sekigahara (1600), which helped secure Tokugawa Ieyasu's power. He ruled over a large and prosperous domain and is remembered for his contributions to the Tokugawa regime.
